Cornhuskers Slip Past Sandy Springs, 8-7
The DeKalb Cornhuskers defeated the Sandy Springs Spartans, 8-7. Center Fielder Chris Wilder deserved a large share of the credit. Wilder was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 for the Cornhuskers. DeKalb reliever Joey Marchant picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Kenny Holloway absorbed the loss. DeKalb is now 78-82. Sandy Springs is 87-73.

Clifton Eggert delivered a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth to win it for the Cornhuskers. For the game, Eggert drew 1 walk in 6 plate appearances.
