The Louisiana Crocodiles had to overcome a big game from Silicon Valley third baseman Peter Johnston to leave San Jose Municipal Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 3-2. Johnston was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double. Nate Pace picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 8-4. "We had the right guys up at the right times," said Silicon Valley manager Brad Jones. "We just didn't cash in."
