The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats topped the Pacifica Shamrocks by a score of 8-7. Leading the way was designated hitter William Bowman. Bowman went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Beetlecats. Matt Williams closed out the game, earning his 20th save. Buzzard's Bay is now 74-85, Pacifica 52-107.

The Shamrocks had been locked in a 6-6 tie with the Beetlecats going into the bottom of the seventh inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old third baseman Tony Vasquez came to the plate. Vasquez hit a 2-run double on a first pitch fastball from Pacifica hurler Efrain Pereyra. It was Vasquez's 9th double of the year.

Vasquez told a Buzzard's Bay Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
