Evanston pitcher Jesus Sanchez did his part in helping his team defeat the Wichita Wolverines, 6-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Evanston occupies second place in the TML AA Jim Leyland Division at 93-65.

Had Jessie Porter not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Porter hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Bishops.
