Moreno Helps Mustang Run Win Streak to 4
|
The Carson City Mustang powered past the San Antonio Storm Troopers, 10-5, at The Clone Army. Willie Moreno was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3, to lead the charge. Carlos Solís, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 5 runs on 10 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 6-2. Mike Walsh got the save, the 6th for him this season.
Carson City shortstop Lorenzo de Leon contributed to the cause with a 2-run double in the top of the fourth. For the game, de Leon was 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
