The first-place Silicon Valley Hackers took on the Boise Hawks in front of a spirited crowd.

The Silicon Valley Hackers captured an easy win, 12-1, over the Boise Hawks at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Jason Forsythe led the offensive barrage, going 2-for-4 for Silicon Valley. Jeremy Poholsky was the winner. Over 5.2 innings, he yielded 1 run on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts.

Jason Chaney, who is tied for 4th in the RAA in extra base hits with 57, took Boise hurler Dustin Brindle deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Hackers on top, 3-1. In all, Chaney had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"They took it to us," said Boise manager .

By defeating Boise, the first-place Hackers improved to 87-48.
