The Windsor Royals had to overcome a big game from Moose Jaw right fielder Fred Dempsey to leave Windsor Grounds with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-3. Dempsey was 3-4 with 2 home runs. Matt Bundy earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record is now 4-1. Matt Daniello recorded the save, his 15th.

Windsor took a 4-3 lead on John Whearty's 21st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Whearty hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Moose Jaw pitcher Greg Ruff visibly frustrated.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Whearty told the Windsor Today.

Windsor is now 107-51, while Moose Jaw is 105-52.
