Kelowna met Riverside in a late-season showdown at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum.

The Kelowna Rockets thumped the Riverside Red Bulls, 9-2, at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Andre Dawson Jr. was a big reason his team got the win. Dawson Jr. went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Anthony Price picked up the win, improving his season record to 4-2. He struck out 1 in 6.1 innings.

Early in the game, designated hitter Gary Tyler had a 2-run home run for Kelowna. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Rockets on top, 2-0.

"I felt good up there," said Tyler. "I saw the ball well."

With the win over Riverside, the Rockets improved to 88-68.
