Madison Jukes Past Wichita, 4-1
The Madison Beehive got a stellar effort from pitcher Jose Aguillar, helping Madison score a win over the visiting Wichita Wolverines, 4-1. The win was credited to 22-year old right-handed pitcher Jason Claus in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ruben Olivares took the loss. The last-place Beehive own a record of 45-112.

Had Michael Benson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Benson hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Beehive.

Benson attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
