Gremlins Saddle Ramrods with 9-4 Loss
|
The Houghton Gremlins beat the Huntington Station Ramrods, 9-4, at Golden Goebels Park. The win was due in part to center fielder Carlos Casillas, who was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Houghton pitcher Brad Pecore earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Dan Lenart suffered the loss. The loss makes Huntington Station 14-28.
Juan Cevallos, the Houghton catcher, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 7-4, Gremlins. For the game, Cevallos went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Casillas said after the game.
