Portsider Helps Evanston to 5-0 Win
|
The Evanston Bishops converted a terrific effort from starter Willis Paulino into a win over the Sandy Springs Spartans at FUBU Field. The Bishops won the game by a final score of 5-0. Rafael Barreto closed it out for his 3rd save. The win puts the Bishops at 68-64, while the Spartans drop to 77-55.
Paulino kept the Spartans under his thumb. He scattered 2 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 10. The left-hander upped his season record to 6-4.
"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Evanston manager Harold Planter.
