Herrera Helps Wolverines Run Win Streak to 3

It was a good time at Howling Park, where fans came to watch the Carson City Mustang and Wichita Wolverines get after it.
Wolverines catcher Alex Herrera put his stamp on his team's 6-2 win over the Carson City Mustang. Herrera was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Wichita in the contest. Ted Lincoln, the winner, improved to 5-9. He held the Mustang to 1 earned run on 3 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 4. Danny Hernandez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 7 save opportunities.
Ed Morgan, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2042 draft, helped out the Wichita cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs.
Herrera attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
The Mustang, now 74-80, have lost 4 straight.
