The Frisco Rams beat the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters, 5-1, at Pipe Fitters Park. Starting pitcher Don Mrazek was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The Rams win now puts them at 64-65.

Jorge Garza came through with a big-time hit for Frisco. The pinch hitter smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Frisco skipper Joe Renken.
