Kelowna Rockets starter Javier Rios pitched a strong game against the Wichita Wolverines at Howling Park, leading the Rockets to victory, 5-3. Eric Lewis nailed down his 9th save. The win gives Kelowna a season record of 65-64.

Kelowna used a timely hit from Pat D'Arienzo to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rockets ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a difference-maker.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," D'Arienzo told the Kelowna Daily News.
