Spartans Get One-Run Win at DeKalb
The Sandy Springs Spartans got a good effort from starter Bob Bower in defeating the DeKalb Cornhuskers at The Corn Crib. The final score was 2-1. Keith Hanley notched his 6th save in 6 chances. The win makes Sandy Springs 78-71.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Adam Keenan? The Sandy Springs right fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Spartans on top, 1-0. For the game, Keenan had 1 double and 1 single in 2 at-bats.

Bower attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
