Armada Roll to 8-3 Win Over Mavericks
The Quebec Armada beat the El Paso Mavericks, 8-3, at Lucky 7 Ballpark. The win was due in part to left fielder John Bramante, who went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Tim Jones. He tossed 96 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. Nick Cockrell earned the save, his 5th, for the Armada.

Early in the game, Bramante had a 2-run home run for Quebec. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Armada on top, 2-0.

"This was a total team effort," said Bramante.

The third-place Armada improved to 22-26.
