Pipe Fitters Trip Beehive, 6-5, in Extra Innings
The Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters had to overcome a big game from Madison first baseman Gaëtan Dumortier to leave The Hive with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-5, in 10 innings. Dumortier was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winner in relief was Joe Singer. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 5-1. Madison's current losing streak is now 4 games.

Niagara Falls needed the clutch hitting of Aaron Proctor to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Pipe Fitters on top, 6-5. For the game, Proctor had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Niagara Falls field general Aidan Uren.
