Carlos Munoz was terrific for the Boise Hawks in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Evanston Bishops. His performance earned Munoz rave reviews. Munoz got the win, improving to 6-5. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. Tony Melara earned his 6th save, after closing out the game.

Matt Griffin, who is tied for 3rd in the RAA in triples with 7, helped out the Boise cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.

"Carlos gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Boise skipper .

At 65-62, the Hawks claim third place in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League.
