Cornhuskers Get One-Run Win at Terra Linda
The DeKalb Cornhuskers scored a 7-6 win versus the Terra Linda Chargers at Albert Park. DeKalb right fielder Edward Peterson nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. DeKalb reliever Theo Leigh picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Alex de la Cruz absorbed the loss. Ted Gray notched his 17th save in 23 chances.

DeKalb used the clutch hitting of Wes Williams to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to give the Cornhuskers the lead, 3-0. For the game, Williams had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Peterson told the DeKalb Bulletin.

DeKalb leads the TMLAA Bruce Bochy Division by 3½ games.
