Chargers Topple Cornhuskers as Vigil Shines
|
Terra Linda first baseman Fernando Vigil played a vital role in his team's 7-2 triumph over DeKalb. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for Terra Linda. Agustin Cedeno got the save, his 2nd in 5 chances. The Chargers move to 80-66 with the win, while the Cornhuskers drop to 89-59.
Vigil came through with some timely hitting for Terra Linda. With the score 3-0 in the bottom of the fourth and one down, Vigil hit a 1-0 fastball for a 3-run home run. His 34th home run of the season made it 6-0, Terra Linda.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Vigil told the Terra Linda Times.
