Wolverines Earn 8-7 Win Versus Crocodiles
Pat McDaniel did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Louisiana Crocodiles from being beaten, 8-7, to the Wichita Wolverines at The Swamp. McDaniel went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Arturo Romero was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-9. The losing pitcher was Jordan Romero. Luis Segarra recorded the save for Wichita, his 27th of the season.

Wichita used the timely hitting of Kyle Goodwin to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Wolverines on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We maximized our offense today," said Wichita skipper John Bunce. "That makes everyone's life easier."

The setback makes Louisiana 65-61.
