The Evanston Bishops picked up a win at FUBU Field, downing the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 8-4. On the mound for Evanston was left-hander Willis Paulino, who played a pivotal role in the win. Paulino yielded 4 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 10. His record improves to 11-4. The Bishops move to 84-61 with the win, while the Black Bears drop to 85-60.

Tom Janes had a big 2-run double for the Bishops in the bottom of the second inning. With Evanston trailing 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Jonathan Emory and swatted a double to right. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bishops ahead, 3-2.
