The Boston Whitecaps grabbed a win, 4-3, over the Boise Hawks at Basque Block Field. Boston catcher Jaime Silvey was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Adam Walsh notched his 4th save of the season. The first-place Whitecaps, at 77-47, now lead their division by 12½ games.
Silvey had a timely hit for Boston in the top of the ninth. With Boston trailing 3-2, he turned a 2-1 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 4-3, Boston.
Afterward, Whitecaps manager T.J. Hall said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
