Sandy Springs got a terrific performance from pitcher Gomez Roches, but it wasn't enough to beat the Windsor Royals. Windsor won the The Coliseum contest, 3-2. Roches threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. Scott Kossow was credited with the save, his 5th in 5 tries. Windsor has now reeled off 7 straight wins.
Kevin Dudas had a direct impact on the outcome. Dudas contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Windsor up, 3-0.
Afterward, Royals manager Luis Hernández said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
