The Evanston Bishops picked up a win at FUBU Field, knocking off the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 5-4. Starting pitcher Antonio Hernandez played a key role in the triumph. The win gives Evanston a season record of 83-61.

Had Steven Kerbel not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Kerbel hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Bishops.

"We did enough to win," said Kerbel.
