The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats beat the Kelowna Rockets, 8-0, at The Coffee Grinder. Ted Illig, in particular, was impressive. He went 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 4 times. With the victory, the Beetlecats record stands at 67-78.

With Buzzard's Bay leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Illig hit a splitter from Eric Thornton for a solo home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Beetlecats ahead, 2-0.

"Things kind of got away from us," said Kelowna skipper Antonio Moreno.
