Rams Lose to Canucks in Walk-Off
|
The Moose Jaw Canucks did just enough to secure a victory over the Frisco Rams, 4-3, in 10 innings at Ashton Gate. Nobody did more than pitcher Jim Metcalfe. Roberto Samper snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-2 on the season. Nick Loyd suffered the loss. The first-place Canucks have won 6 straight games.
The Canucks got a clutch hit from second baseman Matt Conley. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right, to win the game for the Canucks.
"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Metcalfe.
