Extra-Inning Win by Beehive Over Black Bears
|
Madison overcame a superior effort from Erik Dubiel to beat Fraser Valley, 4-3. The Fraser Valley pitcher threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Carlos Serrato earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 3-4. Madison is now 51-71, Fraser Valley 65-58.
Arturo Mancero came through with a big-time hit for Madison. The center fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Madison field general Leon Morris.
