Steelheads Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Roaring River Steelheads had to overcome a fine effort from Kelowna pitcher Jaylen Hester to win, 3-2, in 10 innings at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Hester went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Picking up his 9th save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Antonio Bredenberg. The 4th-place Rockets dropped to 63-60.
Roaring River won the game in part because of Reilly Snow. The shortstop ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Steelheads ahead, 3-2. For the game, Snow had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"That was fun, that was just good baseball," said Snow.
