In a low-scoring tilt between the Black Mountain Mountaineers and the Boise Hawks, Nick Bivins, who is tied for 2nd in the RAA in complete games with 3, was the difference-maker. The Black Mountain left-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Ron Larson wrapped it up, recording his 25th save. The third-place Hawks now sit at 64-59.

Black Mountain used a well-timed hit by Hunter Thibault to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Mountaineers ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

Thibault called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
