Niagara Falls Wins, Buozzi has 4 hits

The Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters and Wichita Wolverines completed their game despite the rain.
The Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters blasted the Wichita Wolverines, 17-4. Ceasario Buozzi was one of the hitting stars. He went 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 6 for Niagara Falls. Manny Carrera got the win, improving to 5-3. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 3 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 4.
With Niagara Falls leading 13-4 in the bottom of the seventh, Buozzi came up to bat against Wichita pitcher Luis Acosta. Buozzi hit a fastball to left for a bases-clearing double. His 25th double of the season put the Pipe Fitters on top, 16-4.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Buozzi. "You've got to get results."
Niagara Falls is now 79-62. Wichita is 50-92.
