The Boise Hawks beat the Black Mountain Mountaineers, 7-4, with major props going to third baseman Chris O'Kelley. On the day, O'Kelley was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Hawks. The Hawks bumped their record to 64-58 with this latest triumph.

Ernie Magaw had a big 3-run home run for the Hawks in the bottom of the third inning. With Boise leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from Felix Garcia and swatted a home run to left. It was his 18th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hawks ahead, 6-1.

"I like winning," Magaw told the Boise Gazette. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
