The Kelowna Rockets had to overcome a big game from Boston left fielder Tristan People to leave Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum with a victory. And they did, winning, 4-3. People went 4 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Kelowna reliever Alan Moors picked up the win, upping his record to 3-4. Chris Sarne was saddled with the loss. Kelowna is now 60-82. Boston is 83-58.
The decisive blow was delivered by John Derr in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Chris Sarne to win the game for Kelowna. The home crowd went nuts.
"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Derr.
