Loss to Hackers Extends Beaumont Losing Streak
The Beaumont Drillers extended their losing streak with a defeat by the Silicon Valley Hackers.

Silicon Valley pitcher Earl Minnick had a large part in his team beating the Beaumont Drillers, 7-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The losses continue to add up for Beaumont, having now dropped 8 straight.

It could have been a different outcome for Silicon Valley, had it not been for Jason Chaney, the 23-year old left fielder . Chaney contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put Silicon Valley up, 2-0.

"Earl has got a slow heartbeat," said Silicon Valley manager Jo-hsi Sang. "He doesn't panic or anything."
