A 4-RBI performance from the 26-year old center fielder Eddie Escobar helped the Kansas City Tornadoes beat the Quebec Armada, 10-1. Juan Manzanares picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Bruce Gaulton, who is tied for 9th in the TML in innings pitched with 51.0, was tagged with the loss. With the win, Kansas City pushed its record to 21-18.

Early in the game, Escobar had a 2-run home run for Kansas City. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Tornadoes on top, 2-0.

Quebec manager Ramu Pavi called the blowout loss "not what we wanted."
