Snaps Topple Hawks with Late Rally
|
The Cincinnati Snaps topped the Boise Hawks by the score of 7-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder John McGar. McGar went 2 for 2 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Snaps on the day. Cincinnati reliever John Stovall picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-3. Raul Parada was collared with the loss. Cincinnati leads the TMLAA Jim Leyland Division by 2½ games.
McGar had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 0-1 slider from Raul Parada, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Snaps a 7-6 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for McGar.
"This place was rockin'," McGar said.
