Marlon Walton pitched a gem in leading Rock River to a 4-1 victory over the Evanston Bishops. The save went to Lee Pearl, his 25th this season. The first-place Rats hiked their record to 86-52.

Bobby Estrada had a direct impact on the outcome. Estrada contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Rock River up, 2-0.

"Makes our job easier," said Estrada, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
