Skidding Drillers Lose 7th Straight
The Beaumont Drillers got a sterling performance from pitcher Earl Hickman, but the Silicon Valley Hackers still prevailed, 6-4. Hickman threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. The win went to Connor Andreyev in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Alex Meza took the loss. Jeremy Poholsky earned his 2nd save in 2 chances.

Israel Munoz came through with a big-time hit for Silicon Valley. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Said losing manager Takuzo Kaneshiro: "These are the grinding hard days that all good teams go through, and this is when we've got to stick together and believe in one another."

Beaumont is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 7 in a row.
