Seagulls Pin 7-3 Loss on Fraser Valley

The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.
The Clearwater Seagulls picked up a win at Chapman Field, dropping the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 7-3. Randy Sellman was the difference-maker. In 8.1 innings, Sellman surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. He allowed 3 runs.
The Seagulls got a big at-bat from catcher Jeremy Durocher. For the game, Durocher went 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season gave Clearwater a 5-3 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Durocher. "And not try to do too much."
Clearwater raised its record to 84-54 with the win.
