Cornhuskers Win at Wichita, 5-2
|
DeKalb pitcher Ricky Guzman did his part in helping his team beat the Wichita Wolverines, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Wichita's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
DeKalb used the timely hitting of Ricky Campos to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Cornhuskers ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was an important one.
In comments to the DeKalb Bulletin, Guzman insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
