Boston right fielder Chad Neese contributed significantly to his team's 10-2 win over the Wichita Wolverines. Neese, who leads the TAA in stolen bases with 31, went 1 for 3 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Whitecaps. Joe Jungbauer went 8 innings for Boston to pick up the win. The left-hander was charged with 2 runs. He scattered 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 3. His record improves to 2-2.

Jaime Silvey hit a 3-run home run off Juan Sandoval in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Whitecaps ahead, 4-2. In addition to the homer, Silvey had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"You start putting runs on the board and winning, everyone's going to get excited," said Neese.
