The Moose Jaw Canucks beat the Black Mountain Mountaineers, 8-7, in 10 innings at Peak Park. Moose Jaw left fielder Tony Curiel had an outstanding performance. He hit 2 home runs. Greg Ruff picked up the win in relief. Ron Larson took the loss for Black Mountain. Mike Perschau got the save, his 8th in 9 chances.

Marvin Weier was 1-4 with 2 walks for Moose Jaw. The 25-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 7-7 tie with a run-scoring walk off Ron Larson. It was his 67th walk of the season.

"We'll enjoy this ride as long as it lasts," said Canucks manager Anandam Ramanathan.
