The Chicago Eclipse could not turn a fine performance from second baseman Enrique Zarate into a win. Instead, the Dallas Texans prevailed, 7-5. Zarate was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Trevor Bowe, who went 7.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 8 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 5-1. Ruben Rosado recorded the save, his 15th.

Dallas won the game in part because of Greg Shelton. The catcher ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Texans ahead, 5-2. For the game, Shelton had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
