Hicks, Pipe Fitters Too Much for Mustang
Niagara Falls third baseman Jeffrey Hicks helped his team beat the Carson City Mustang, 11-8. Hicks, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2059 draft, went 3 for 4 for the Pipe Fitters. Dave Wenzel picked up his 12th save of the season. Niagara Falls is now 75-59.

Cory Starkey came through with a big-time hit for Niagara Falls. The first baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 10-8. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Starkey said. "We did a good job of that today."
