The Marysville Monarchs overcame a pretty good performance by Buzzard's Bay shortstop Jon Michaud, beating the Beetlecats, 12-7, in 15 innings. Michaud went 2 for 6 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The win makes Marysville 50-66.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Jamie Kneip came to bat in the top of the 15th. Facing Buzzard's Bay pitcher Daniel Castro, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Marysville on top, 9-7.

"Our team showed some gumption," said Kneip. "I like it."
