Chaves Excels in Cincinnati Win
|
Cincinnati center fielder Pedro Chaves was instrumental in his team's 5-3 win over the Terra Linda Chargers. Chaves, who is tied for 4th in the TAA in stolen bases with 43, went 3-4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Snaps. Salvador Ramales went 5 innings for Cincinnati to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with no earned runs. He scattered no hits, while walking 5 and striking out 6. His record improves to 2-3. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Snaps.
Chaves came through with some timely hitting for Cincinnati. With the score 1-0 in the top of the third and one down, Chaves hit a 1-2 fastball for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season made it 4-0, Cincinnati.
