Mustang Topple Hackers, 7-4, as Daniel Shines
With Matt Daniel leading the charge, the Carson City Mustang defeated the Silicon Valley Hackers, 7-4. Daniel went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Mustang. The winning pitcher was Josh Blum. His record now stands at 5-10. The right-hander went 7.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits for the Mustang. The win for the Mustang lifted their record to 60-54.

There was more than one reason the Mustang beat the Hackers, but Daniel's big at-bat in the bottom of the first was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
