Crocodiles Lose Again, 4-2, to Beetlecats
|
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats got a strong performance from pitcher Victor Rivera, who stymied the Louisiana offense en route to a 4-2 win at The Coffee Grinder. Tadasumi Murakami picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Frank Teran was tagged with the loss. Louisiana has now lost 11 consecutive games.
Buzzard's Bay took a 2-1 lead on Yamil Anchondo's 36th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Anchondo hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Louisiana pitcher Dave Tryban visibly frustrated.
Anchondo told a Buzzard's Bay Observer reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
