Crocodiles Prevail, 6-5, Over Clearwater
|
Louisiana registered a win at The Swamp by beating the Clearwater Seagulls, 6-5. Pitcher Nate Pace was one reason why the Crocodiles triumphed. In 6.1 innings, Pace surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 3. He allowed 3 runs. The Crocodiles, now 64-49, have won 4 in a row.
In the bottom of the 3rd, Louisiana took the lead on a 2-run single by Rafael Arevalo. At the time, the Crocodiles were trailing 2-1, but Arevalo's hit with two outs against Clearwater pitcher John Hunter put them in front, 3-2.
"That was a really good outing by Nate," said Louisiana manager Peter McColgan.
