Loermans Slugs Red Bulls to 3-1 Win

The first-place Riverside Red Bulls welcomed San Antonio to Red Bull Stadium.
Benefiting from Darrell Loermans's productive game, the Riverside Red Bulls downed the San Antonio Storm Troopers, 3-1. Loermans went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Red Bulls. Dusty Gorman, the winner, improved to 9-2. He held the Storm Troopers to 1 earned run on 5 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 1.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and two out in the bottom of the fifth inning. That's when shortstop Alfredo Morales, who is tied for 8th in the RAA with a .322 batting average, drew a walk. The Red Bulls went on to win.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Loermans told the Riverside News.
The Storm Troopers, at 69-64, have lost 7 in a row.
