Pipe Fitters Get Plucky, 6-5 Win Over Crocodiles
The Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters and Louisiana Crocodiles treated fans to some rich drama.

Despite a great performance by Louisiana designated hitter Bruno Chauveau, the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters defeated the Crocodiles by the score of 6-5 at Pipe Fitters Park. Chauveau was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Pedro Bedoy, 5-4, earned the win in relief. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in 8 innings.

Jeffrey Hicks was the walk-off hero for Niagara Falls. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pipe Fitters third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Hicks said.
