Lacenaire Hits 3 home runs in Drillers Win
|
The Beaumont Drillers beat the Wichita Wolverines, 8-4, at Howling Park. The Drillers got a fine performance from right fielder Chris Lacenaire, who slugged 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. The winning pitcher was Brian Taylor. He's now 12-4. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits for the Drillers. With the win, Beaumont upped its record to 64-48.
Early in the game, Lacenaire had a 2-run home run for Beaumont. It was his 27th home run of the season and put the Drillers on top, 2-0.
"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Lacenaire said in postgame remarks.
